If you have ever been wondering why you can’t make cakes that look as good as the ones in the pastry shop window displays, this recipe will change this way of thinking.
The ingredients you will need are the following (6 servings):
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/3 sticks butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 7 oz dark chocolate
- 2 cups whipped cream
Here is what you have to do:
Form a dough from the flour, eggs, butter, sugar, and salt by kneading them together.
Lay a layer of flour on the pinboard and start rolling the dough. Then cut out six small circles at the bottom. The rest should be cut into six thick and six small narrow stripes, just like in the picture below.
The circles have to go into a muffin baking pan. The thicker shapes go around the edges. Then the smaller stripes go in another tray formed into a U shape. Bake everything for 20 minutes at 350°F.
Melt the dark chocolate and then add the 2 cups of whipped cream to it. Don’t forget to leave a bit of melted chocolate on the side as it will be used later for something else.
Once your stuff is baked you have to take the U-shaped forms and dip them into the melted chocolate that you left out. Then stick them to the side of the cups so that they look like handles.
Now all you have to do is filling the cups up with some mousse and add a bit of whipped cream and some cocoa powder on top to make it look even better.
