Drinking water is the most important item on this list! It’s not only good for your skin, your immune system, blood circulation, but a lot more other health benefits. It will, over time, help reduce dark circles under your eyes disappear and provide you with a better skin tone. Proper hydration is important, so get a glass of water whenever you can!
Potatoes
Put a raw potato to the refrigerator for a couple minutes, cut two slices, then circle your eyes gently. Leave them there for 15-20 minutes and you’ll notice a major difference afterwards. This is because potatoes have a natural anti-inflammatory property.
Cucumbers
You’ve seen it everywhere, from movies to salons, from opening on a roommate. But is it as good as everybody believes them to be? The answer is yes. Cucumbers have astringent properties, which help reduce swelling and help tighten the skin. Also helps reducing fine lines and wrinkles as well as brightening your skin tone.
Milk
Place cotton pads in chilled milk for a few minutes, then put them on your eyes for 20-30 minutes. This is very useful if you have extremely puffed up eyes. Do this often and you will see a big improvement.
Tea Bags
Much like milk, tea bags (either green or black) have long-lasting effects if used properly and often. Put two tea bags in cold water for a couple minutes, then put them in the refrigerator for another couple minutes. Then all you have to do is place them over your eyes for 25-30 minutes. Another method is to make the tea, then set the tea bags aside and put in the refrigerator until chilled. Put over your eyes for 5-10 minutes and enjoy both of the health benefits of the tea.
Chilled Spoons
If you don’t want to put food on your face, put 4 spoons into iced water and put 1-1 over each eye. Keep switching them off so you have cold ones over your eyes. Repeat until the puffiness is gone (about 10-15 minutes).
Collagen Rich Foods
Eating a healthy diet is a big contributor to our skin as well. Upping your intake of Vitamin C will help your body produce more collagen and give you a better skin tone.
